Answers published by the kennel for families considering a Dobermann.

Answers from the kennel’s earlier website. Prices, veterinary arrangements and availability have not been reconfirmed for this site. Ask Milan before relying on these details.

How much do Di Casa Montenegro Doberman puppies cost?

Our puppies cost €1500 and up, depending on whether you are looking for a pet or a competition dog show quality. Every dog is registered with the FCI (Fédération Cynologique Internationale), and the price covers official FCI documentation, veterinary tail docking, and a complete age-appropriate vaccination and deworming protocol. Ear cropping can be part of the standard package, if you want it.

What is included in the puppy price?

The purchase price includes prepaid FCI registration paperwork, tail docking, ear cropping, and all vaccinations and deworming treatments suitable for the puppy's age at the time of sale.

Do your Dobermans come from European bloodlines?

We are Europian kennel, that means that all our dogs have pure europian bloodlines. All of our dogs trace back exclusively to European Doberman ancestry and are registered with the FCI. Each dog undergoes rigorous health screening and holds full certification. We work only with European lines because we believe they consistently produce the strongest results in temperament, structural correctness, and long-term health.

Do your Dobermans come from working lines?

Yes — we breed exclusively from top-tier working and show-quality European Dobermanns with multi-generational championship pedigrees across multiple countries. Quality in the ring and in the field is never a compromise for us.

Should I get a male or female Doberman?

Both sexes make outstanding companions when raised with consistency and care, so the right choice really comes down to your lifestyle and expectations. Males are typically larger and more powerfully built, with a stronger territorial drive and commanding presence — properly trained, they become deeply loyal and protective. Females are generally more compact and agile, often described as more openly affectionate and adaptable in a family setting. Neither is inherently superior; the best fit depends on your living situation, experience level, and what you want in a dog.

How can I purchase a puppy from Di Casa Montenegro?

The first step is conversation. This gives us a clear picture of your lifestyle, experience with dogs, and what you are looking for — so we can find a genuine match. Once we have reviewed your application and are confident we can meet your expectations, we will reach out promptly to arrange a conversation.

What colors do your Dobermans come in?

Our breeding program produces both black & rust and red & rust Dobermans. We are committed to preserving the Doberman as the breed was meant to be, and we do not breed for blue, fawn, albino, or any color not recognized by the FCI. We consider ourselves stewards of the traditional standard.

How do deposits and puppy selection work?

Securing a spot on our waiting list requires a €700 deposit and a signed agreement, with the remaining balance two weeks before pickup or delivery. Your position reflects the order in which deposits are received, and waitlist families get early access to litter news before we share it publicly. If a particular litter does not work out for you, your deposit can be carried forward. Before accepting any deposit, we confirm your preferred sex and color. We are selective about the homes our puppies go to, and the questionnaire plays a key role in matching the right dog to the right family.

Can I visit the kennel before purchasing?

We currently do not host on-site visits at the kennel. We are happy to share photos and video updates. We are active on social media and use those platforms to share daily life at Di Casa Montenegro and stay connected with our community.

What health testing is done before breeding, and can I see the results?

Health comes first in everything we do. All of our dogs — and every dog we choose to breed with — are DNA-tested and clear of major hereditary conditions. Our dogs hold health certifications and have passed evaluations for eyes, hips, elbows, and thyroid function. Full health records are available to prospective buyers on request. Even though all of our dogs are genetically clear of DCM and vWd, we conduct cardiac (holter) testing.

Can I choose my own puppy?

When the puppies are six weeks old, I take their first photos. Those photos will be sent to the buyer so they can choose their puppy.

Is a deposit required to join the waiting list, and is it refundable?

Yes — a €700 deposit and a signed agreement are required to secure your place on our waiting list, with the balance due at pickup or delivery. Your deposit holds your position in queue and can be carried forward to a later litter if the planned one does not proceed. Waitlist families receive priority updates on upcoming litters before we share them publicly. Deposit is not refundable.

Can you ship or deliver the puppy to us?

Upon your request, we can arrange delivery to all parts of the world.
